3D-Printing

Materials for 3D-printing and printable electronics

3D-printing enables creation of complex objects from different materials. It is normally done by means of physical and chemical curing or melting. Normally, polymers, resins, ceramics or metals are used as the materials for 3D-printing.

The possibilities for application of 3D-printing are unlimited: from details for the aircrafts and cars, medical products all the way to entire houses – all that is not just conceivable, but already real.

The main limitation of 3D-printing stems from the materials, that are currently available, since the properties of the final object depend on the properties of the materials employed.

IOLITEC offers a selection of high-performance additives that can improve the properties of printable materials, as powders or dispersions in different solvents. Those can be used for example for

  • Improved mechanical properties

  • Conductivity

  • Antistatic properties

  • Modification of optical properties

In addition, nano-sized metal, metal alloy, ceramic or composite particles can be employed for 3D-printing of objects.

„The capabilities of 3D-printing in the future will not be limited by availability of materials or technology, but by the imagination of the humankind!“
